European Connections: the name of the game is who you know, not what you know
Better start smiling and hope that Fate landed you in a good place when you're born into a French family. Or Italian, or Spanish, or Greek, or anywhere in the South of Europe. Because that's all that counts.
This is very true indeed for much of Southern Europe, and this includes France where I live. It is one of the aspects of France that annoys me, and that I find must change. MUST. It’s time the French wake up and realize that there are enormous changes to be made in society, and the more people cowardly support the system without saying a thing, the more trouble we will find ourselves in.
